About us
Jumbo is a project by Jake Lucas and Marta Font, an independent risograph studio and publishing platform. Since 2018 we've been making small-run editions, artist books, zines and objects, all designed and printed in-house, in collaboration with some of the most exciting emerging illustrators and artists working today, from wherever in the world they happen to be making things.
The Press
Everything we publish is printed in-house on our MH9350 two-drum risograph printer, plus a HP DesignJet Z9+ Dr for giclée work. Soy-based inks, recycled and sustainably sourced paper, small runs on purpose. Fewer copies means more care, and more care means better work.
Risograph printing is tactile and slightly unpredictable. The colours bleed into each other a little. The registration is almost right. That's not a flaw. That's the whole point.
We offer a bespoke risograph print service covering zines, posters, artist books and printed ephemera.
The Studio
Alongside our publishing work, Jumbo Studio is a creative communications studio offering design and illustration solutions for brands, including websites, digital campaigns and short-form content. We bring our network of artists and our own expertise together for the right projects.
